TOPIC: Another adventure...

Another adventure... 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Every year I get the AA to give me an International Driving Licence just in case - I didn't think about Stupid Brexit but today felt - whoops my current one expires this spring so I'd better get a new one! NOPE - the AA don't do them any longer. From Jan 30th it's Post Offices (nightmare queues) only. Anyway I decided to pop down and get one. Well I think I'm the first person in the UK - certainly in W2 - the place was in turmoil. Superiors summoned. Chaos and confusion! Still I've now got it. After Brexit some countries need different ones so you'll need TWO! Luckily only Spain is affected for me and I rarely drive in Spain so I just got the one but the list of where I may drive... Tunisia, Scandinavia, Israel, Morocco... The entire Post Office came to a halt; queues out the door (but when I got it, the entire place applauded!). It is all SO stupid!

Good on you...and yes whole thing beyond idiotic...How with every passing day and evidence of our slide do Brexiteers maintain their apparent conviction; collective (or aprx 50% collective madness) madness wrapped in an entropy of nationalistic mono-mania.

oh you think getting your International License was hard...it hasn't even started yet.

The UK is now in a position where a complete turd of a politician like Liam Fox gets away with outrageous bullshit like he will have "40 trade deals" ready to go 5 minutes after Brexit.

Not a single one. How could he?..they take bloody years to conclude.

But it's not just that..it's the fact millions of Brits are so fucking thick (how many frigging swear words am I allowed on here?)..they don't give a flying fucking fuck they were blatantly lied to

This is madness.. this is insanity and I don't care which side of the fucking fence you are on (unless you are a Brexit supporter)..this is the definition of .

TURKEYS VOTING FOR CHRISTMAS !!!

I think I'll lie down now.

I had to do the same thing for USA & Canada. I didn't think it was that much of an issue.

I'm here in malaysia. ..and have not needed one to hire a car...or in Thailand ..let's Stay in the EU so that a few old farts don't have to stand up in the post office

Most of these threats turned out to be a joke..for example planes will fly....the ports are ready...British nationals in spain...Portugal. ..and now the efta countries are having their resident rights guaranteed...

Perhaps I should dig into the archives...and see just how many silly predictions some on this thread have made?

The lovely Liam was in the Swiss capital today. ..signed a deal guaranteeing 30 billion trade per annum. ..regardless of Brexit. ..Farage got 30k new members on his first day of his party launch...have you organised your turkey voting system yet?...

...oh and Italy want to do a separate trade deal with us in the event of non deal..the biggest obstacle to Brexit is the older generation glued to the EU. ..stuck in project fear...public school fools frightened of bring found out for being both wrong and useless.

Well it looks like we'll leave with the May deal which both Leavers and Remainers agree is far worse than the current status quo. Odd.

The status quo is our best option - as neighbouring countries are better harmonizing.

Democracy is also more palatable than the alternatives, as it gives everyone a say.

Ironically, the two - as in Brexit - can work against each other...

A week etc in politics Dr King....

Let us not forget why we had the referendum...the rise of ukip....Now a well backed Farage is back...and firing enough cylinders the status quo is worried again...

Once we see Farage reach ten percent.... then he cannot win any seats....but depending on who he takes the votes from will decide who can win at the next polls...

...I'm sitting by the pool....3am in the morning...taking messages from various political contacts... politics is becoming fun again

Farage is a non entity

He is also irrelevant

And doesn't merit conversation

Done nothing

But galvanise some extremes

There will always be people like him

Better stereotypes are ubiquitous, even in recent times
