TOPIC: David Bowie and underage sex
#185932
David Bowie and underage sex 5 Years, 2 Months ago
When he died and I was quoted about David's happy sex life, I was criticised by the media. I suppose, now I'm an Acquitted Vile Pervert, times have changed!

The funny thing is - I was very aware of NEVER breaking the 16 year old limit except, being bisexual (as most of us 60s and 70s young people were) I deliberately broke the law decreeing males had to be over 21 (or, indeed, not alive; until 1967 any gay sex was illegal, no matter what the age). And used to warn friends like David about being careful with all those groupies.

And as a matter of interest the law declares that any consensual sex with anybody from 16 to 21 becomes no longer a crime unless a complaint was made within 12 months of the offence.

'disgraced'.....I expect it's a word they cannot be sued for at a later date?

....sex claims need to be put in the historical context of the free thinking sixties and seventies....

It confuses me how some just get away with it while others are deemed to be subhuman monsters.

It depends on the value of their back catalogue.

And the difference between making a fool of yourself with a teenager and actually attacking a child.

Wrong again, Honey. To mentally disturbed, man-hating feminists (excuse the tautology) the former doesn't exist because men can never disadvantaged in any way (unless they're gay, dress up as women or are muslim). There is only men attacking children (or women), all the time, from every angle.

This makes perfect sense to Leftists.

I'm not sure if it's only about that. Michael Jackson, for example, is widely portrayed as a recividist paedophile (whether he was or wasn't I have no idea) and his back catalogue is probably the most valuable or second most valuable of any musical artist.

Bowie has the advantages of having been 'cool', i.e. admired by both the critical cognoscenti and the public, and was relatively good-looking.

It seems to me that "coolness" must have something to do with getting away with it, e.g. Bill Wyman.

Ex-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman reveals he approached police regarding sex claims

Instead they went fishing for bogus claims against the likes of Rolf Harris.

Rolf Harris, Jimmy Savile = naff?
Bill Wyman, David Bowie = cool?

Wyman should of been locked up and castrated.

You could be onto something there.

But...

Paul Weller = cool?
Mick Hucknall = naff?

Might it be something to do with approval of the socio-political correctness of the person, rather than their standing in popular culture?

I'd have bee more inclined to lock up the girl's mother.
What on earth was she thinking?

Roy Harper was and is 'cool' and they went after him, though he was acquitted.

Isnt a simpler explanation that no one has made an allegation to Police against Bowie or Wyman? There has to be an allegation for Police to investigate...

I'll bet you there have been thousands of complaints against both - but money talks. Try Googling Bowie Rape Texas.
