Just how did Jimmy Savile evade capture for so long?
Maybe the answer to that question is, "Because he didn't do most or all of the stuff of which he was accused."
That option seems a lot more likely to me than the frankly absurd idea that there would have been a giant conspiracy of silence throughout a criminal's long life, with scores of victims of his crimes failing to report crimes against them to police once they reached adulthood, parents or guardians not taking crimes against their children seriously enough to report them to police, police not taking reports of crime seriously enough to record them, witnesses not taking witnessed crimes seriously enough to report them, etc.

And still the poor f###3$ never got a chance to defend himself and he was not captured as he was dead.
Mo judge or jury found him guilty he was accused only accused so all claims should still read, alleged.
It's bizarre that people, especially the authorities, should consider it acceptable for Jimmy Savile to have been tried and convicted in the media after he was dead, especially when the claims against him could earn money for the accusers, when the same people would very probably consider it unacceptable that Russia held a court case to put a dead man, Sergei Magnitsky, on trial and find him guilty.
