And the Oscar for Best False Accuser Goes To…

Wonderful news that the Academy is now going to award a Best False Accuser Oscar each year.

This gives the chance for otherwise failed actors and actresses to grab the little golden statuette. After years of suffering from rejection at auditions and minimal income, those thousands have a chance to win the biggest acting prize of all.

It’s not the first time that this important category has been suggested. Indeed, some time ago it was very nearly named the Fatty Arbuckle Award.

But the explosion of delightful performances has made it now essential.

The rules are - due to the Diversity Rule (and equal pay for less work) - all skin colours, genders, religious affiliations and physical and mental deformities are allowed.

The Falsely Accused can be alive or dead, black or white, straight or gay even, thanks to Amber Rudd and Diane Abbott, coloured.

The only rule is that nominees have to have bravely waived their anonymity and bravely waved hello to fat media cheques, as public exposure footage is required.

Such subsequent revelations as proof they are liars or even perverts themselves need not worry potential applicants. Anything that is a good story is acceptable to the media and the media naturally controls the agenda.

Advice: amateur British tricks like breaking down in tears on the Victoria Derbyshire show will probably not assist performances. Professional actors, often the victims of false accusers, are better at doing this kind of thing and may erupt dramatically on TV talk shows or break down in tears in Martha’s Vineyard, assuming they have survived any nearby vehicle accidents.

The celebrity status of the victims should not influence the Judges. Just because the headlines are bigger and the ratings greater, such publicity should not bias the verdict on the quality of the performance. Neither should the size of the profits made by the applicants. Likewise, the training (we call it grooming) of the artistes must have no impact on the decision. It may be that Hollywood based False Accusers can benefit from professional manipulation but that is, as they say, the luck of the draw. An elderly lady who had a chance encounter with a Dance DJ in a car park might have real natural ability and could conquer the finest performance by a glossy, handsome hunk brandishing jewellery.

Even dead False Accusers can be nominated - clever editing of interviews after CGI and glossy colour coding are perfectly acceptable with the Academy.

Indeed the ideal winner could be a deceased False Accuser claiming abuse by a dead star.

So roll up, roll up - And The Winner Of The Best False Accuser Oscar Is………..

Wonderful..hopefully they will spread to The Baftas, Venus, Berlin and all points West.

Speaking of Down Under, a nomination for this award must surely go to the former(?) child actress who sold her story of alleged abuse by Robert Hughes to the media before arriving in court, then wrote a book about it titled rather cheekily "Allegedly". Then there's the other former(?) child actress who sold her story of alleged abuse by Rolf Harris to the media before arriving in court, and gave another interview to one of the same outlets after the verdict. After apparently obtaining a PTSD diagnosis in 2012 (according to her first TV interview), she more recently posted an ad online for a bike, claiming that hers had been stolen and that she was on a disability pension. Since the trial, she has also won a vocational training scholarship through a women's advocacy and empowerment organisation.

In ten years this will be one of those phantom posts that keep popping up and we will wonder why there was ever doubt of its truth.


For me, the girl who was never at the fictitious concert in the community centre being groped in plain sight by Rolf Harris will take some beating.

It's really confused so many who seriously believe this is factually correct. I do wonder whether the age of satire has been forgotten due to human minds being so changed by society becoming more and more superficial. Many really cannot think deeper than simple tabloid headlines.

I've been watching a few Paul Hogan clips on Youtuibe and I've realised he has that important aspect in comedy..brilliant timing and it seems so natural.

When you think about it, some people MUST realise that some (a lot of) claims are pure nonsense, yet still support them,therefore it is becoming an art form.

I am sure nobody really believes in the FA Oscar, but when we allow false claimants to keep their cash award even after after their lies are proven, is it that far fetched?

Yes and especially when so many are actually actors or actresses - how about that Asia Argento who was found to have been having sex with an underage boy? As Richard Littlejohn likes to say - you couldn't make it up!

I've been thinking about the #MeMeMeToo Movement and recall what the late actor Jody McCrea (son of 2 Hollywood 1940's legends Joel McCrea and Francis Dee)said when he picked up me & my then girlfriend in 1974 as we walked down Sunset Boulevard.

No it wasn't sexual...Jody stopped his car and said "you two look interesting..want to come for a tour of Universal Studios?"

We hopped into his car and were amazed when Jody was ushered through the studio gates like Royalty.

After lunch he took us to actor Denis Hopper's house for afternoon tea (this wouldn't happen today..all of us would be murdered by someone )

The talk got around to making it in the movies and Jody's view..back up by Hopper's was this : The Casting Couch is there and real and the best advice (in Jody's words) was : "Dear - fill in producer's name here- I want nothing more than to go to bed with you but can we sign that contract first, get it out of the way , and then have fun !!"

What is happening now with Harvey Wienstein (and Asia Argento etc) is this : it's just another form of prostitution..the oldest game on the planet.. isn't going to end in the near future and a lot of Hollywood stars are now bitching ( they are all prima donnas after all) and moaning and groaning because they sold their themselves for $Millions and now want to pretend it's their Thespian qualities that got them were they are.

## Denis Hopper told us how Rock Hudson used to come to the set of Giant every day with presents for him, James Dean & the most handsome young guys in the film crew. He thinks Dean went home with Hudson twice.
