TOPIC: Pub Jukebox

Pub Jukebox 5 Years, 1 Month ago
Just purchased a jukebox from an old landlord. I had no idea what the 45s were nor did he. (Who asks when buying a job lot) ?

Amongst piles of Northern soul, surf (my favourite genre and no I can't swim or surf either) and other beat instrumentals - from obsecure and forgotten bands.

My eyes were open with glee when I saw a huge amount of Joe Meek records at the bottom of the stacks.

My son bought one a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the highlight was "Disco Duck".

For the less ancient...

When I visit Long Island every year, I love to wind up my friends with track Honey.

I found my favorite song under the pile of the records - Boys Cry by Eden Kane.

I love that one too. Unless I have missed a release, it is well overdue an update for a new audience.

Why fuck with the formula ?

I am not the one for covers but Amboy Dukes did cover some cracking ones, then again anything Ted Nugent played and written is gold.

I’ve always believed those 3 Minutes of Top of the Pops to be one of television’s darkest moments.

Anything disco and disco related is torture. Even the punk era passed me by or I just ignored it.
