We all noticed how silent Mark Williams Thomas (an avid reader of this forum as we know; not even bothering to try to hide his URL via a proxy) became before and during my trial (though he quickly felt he had to answer afterwards, due to the vast quantity of fresh evidence that emerged). What are his links to "Nick"? What are the Exaro links? Will Carl Beech, in his defence, expose some of the contributions to his behaviour by fine, upstanding members of the community? Will other dupes, taken in over the past 20 years, spot the crock of gold at the end of this rainbow and see how much cash can be made by shopping MWT? Will some Porsche owners decide the opportunity to make a few grand is too good to miss? Will any Shropshire lads or lasses realise just how much they can earn by spilling the beans to a tabloid? Will Sir Cliff decide to investigate just how his fiasco began? Will Meirion Jones decide that the truth can now be told about Exposure? Goodness me - Can of Worms? More like Pandora's Box. One thing is for sure - MWT is currently shitting himself.

The decision for the Jury to make will surely not be whether or not Carl Beech's stories were true (they were clearly not, as any half decent cop would have spotted - and that is the main problem; due to the media and desire for a great story preferably involving both sex and famous people) but whether or not Carl actually believed his fantasies and only researched to give his truly believed tales "evidence". Many think Carl was truly abused by someone in his youth (and I have personal experience that this can produce later fantasies - one of my false accusers had certainly been abused when very young; the reason why I declined to have any kind of sex with him when he was older). That can affect people very deeply and tragically. Which is why I've always been loathe to condemn "Nick", as he then was. And to condemn, instead, those who, for their own reasons, assisted and provoked him into these commercially attractive fantasies.
