John Cleese & worshipping me 4 Years, 10 Months ago
John Cleese is really right..London IS and always was a foreign city..but by the Romans. It's an Italian city that was initially avoided by Anglo Saxons.

I have a cousin who is a mad Family Tree investigator and has traced sections of the family back 100s of years but she has found..

..that we are 30 degrees connected to John Pemberton who invented Coca Cola but more importantly 25 degrees connected to Henry VIII

so when you (pre-arranged) milkshake me bow down first to your Monarch.

Can I be your Queen, Hedda? I agree - London is not British; it is far better; a totally Metropolitan city with international status and vibes; that's why I love it and always have. Since the silly Brexit vote I'm a Londoner, not English.

Back in the 1700s they were complaining it was hard to find a 'real Englishman' in London,so nothing new....there is much to be said about the amount and origin of the immigrants...it takes time to integrate..some cultures integrate better than others...and an argument will always rage at who and how many....

....I've spent more time in London recently for work...not my preferred spot as capitals go...much prefer Asia...but then I know KL much better.

Why am I pontificating on a place I know little about?

Good day Hedda...

I have plenty of names to call London and it's not London.

I did like walking around seedy NYC when it was NYC, now it's like candy land.
