TOPIC: LibDems
#189813
LibDems 4 Years, 10 Months ago
Nick Clegg should come back; he was a terrific Deputy PM; unfairly condemned for not keeping impossible promises when in coalition. We'd have never had Brexit if the Tories hadn't screwed the LibDems.

He was voted out...the fact videos of him looking a fool and a liar were all over the internet will not exactly help him return...very rarely have we seen a politician fall from grace so quickly...he just choose his time to peak to coincide with us all getting internet on our tablets and phones...nowhere to hide...but had he stood up and been honest about policy faults and promises broken he could have been leader still...

...seems your friend Elton is joining in the political fun...sure you agree, many may not...you did save his career...an opinion would be interesting...

A good evening Sir

Clegg was a good leader and usually talks sense when you hear him been interviewed. He was unfairly treated over tuition fees, every leader has broken promises in the reality of government at some point (May over elections, and Brexit), Cameron over saying he would stay to deliver Brexit, and Blair I think on tuition fees too.

In normal times I would support the Lib Dems, but with Brexit they were determined not to honour the result of the referendum from the moment the results came in. To ignore the democratic vote and think is very dangerous.

And his obvious lying over single market statements?

I can forgive anything with a bit of humility attached...but his attempts to cover himself turned him into a fool....and remember his comments about the eu army?...possibly the biggest referendum whopper of the lot...

...thought you would have looked deeper into this Robbie...you're quite good on political posts.
