Only the Mail dares carry articles like this. I remember when the Guardian or the Independent were the only newspapers to run articles about failures in justice. The IPP scandal is absolutely appalling yet media ignores it.

The most ludicrous thing is... "Being in prison makes it difficult for Ian to overcome his drug addiction."

Actually, I DON'T want drug addicts to be released before they have recovered.
I expect there to be no drugs in prison and for help to be freely available for addicts.

We need to release most prisoners and start again with a new system that works,because this one stinks!
