Stephen Wright and the Mail crusade against Bent Cops 4 Years, 7 Months ago
This is a major crusade; make no mistake about it. The Mail can be the nastiest paper in Britain but also the best, when it spots a great story. Corruption and incompetence in our Police Force is a vital area that needs a spotlight shone on it. The words "professional standards" require radical improvement. Enough "protect their own". Enough "unless they are bonkers which in my view they never are" - EPHGRAVE. Root out the crooks.

The Mail are nervous because rumour has it they are involved in hacking/ intrusion in some way.

Remember, they were part of the Northcliffe Media once.
Being sold and bought and broken up doesn't change anything.

Separating turds is a fools errand. It is all still shit in the end.

"Despite being found guilty of three counts of misconduct last year, Mr Horne was controversially allowed to keep his job and has now rejoined the Met, his former force, as Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) for ‘Professionalism’.

In his £150,000-a-year post, he oversees sensitive anti-corruption investigations and discipline inquiries.

And now, in a decision which has astonished police circles, he has been given a key role in deciding what should be published from a scathing report into the Met’s disastrous VIP child sex abuse inquiry Operation Midland."

What an absolute joke.

The National Police Autism Association

Just imagine, if a group of officers were on The Spectrum, coming together to police *their* way, a way which made NO sense to most of us.

Those with Aspergers, in particular, often rise to the top in their (natural) field of interest too.

So, imagine now, that those at the very top of our police forces were on a spectrum where Empathy is not a natural emotion, it having to be taught, (if that's possible to teach) ....and where such officers can ONLY see the world from *their* point of view, such is the way their brain patterns work, unless someone explains something to them in a way they *can* understand.

Why, you'd end up with chaos, wouldn't you?

You'd also end with 'Believe All', for many on the spectrum don't understand that others lie, taking everything that's said to them literally...and abiding by any new 'rules', no matter how daft or criminal those rules might be, for, in such minds, very often, 'rules are rules' ...and that's all they see.

Obviously, each person on the spectrum is different, but they all share that inability to feel empathy, or to be able to pick up the distress in people. This is due to the pathways in their brains being blocked, those paths which lead to Empathy, Compassion, etc....

Research 'John Elder Robison' on Youtube, particularly his video called 'My TMS Magic', which relates to the TMS Therapy he's had, where electrical stimulation is now opening up those blockages. It worked for John, took 17 goes, but at the end, he was, for the first time, able to feel he could 'see inside another person', able to finally feel and sense their emotions, read their eyes, their facial expressions...and he felt his world had gone from 'black and white' to 'colour' (his description). Finally, he realized all that he'd been missing. But it also brought dilemma and anxiety, for before, he'd never questioned what he was doing, just doing it. Afterwards, he was constantly worrying he might upset someone if he did A, or do the wrong thing, if he did B. Before, he'd never thought like that, had just carried out his own thoughts. John used to design the flaming guitars for the rock group, KISS...laterly becoming a highly successful businessman in the luxury car field.

Police and indeed authority can only understand what they are trained to.
Which is what is so fundamentally wrong everywhere.

I've had many, many conversations with officials and they purposely misheard, misread and misinterpret to keep their bullshit systems going.

The most annoying aspect is they know they do it.
They wind people up, make them snap and cry foul.

It's a tiring tactic.Tbey lie implicitly and in court. Until this is addressed and punished, nothing will change.

That is a good point Bookworm and links to Lizzie's post about Autism (above). This deserves a different thread which I shall shortly construct.

That's a very good description. Certainly strikes a chord with me...
