Cases like this show that we HAVE to sort out the legal situation - for God's sake bring back COMMON SENSE. Dixon of Dock Green would be horrified by this expensive and damaging situation. As he would be by the current situation on Sex Claims.

The law has to be rule based and those rules enforced. There can and should be common sense in allowing as much compassion and latitude as possible.

What often isn't based on common sense is the media and the way they can choose to sensationalise a situation.

For assisted suicide to be legal there would have to be lots of safeguards. I 100% support assisted suicide. My mum is over 90 and in a home. When I visit her I see lots of folks being kept alive only to suffer and be isolated and be in solitary confinement. The establishment is private and of course they earn fees so have every incentive for prolonging the inevitable.
