And quite rightly so. If he had of been found guilty of this nonsense he would be forever labelled as. ALCHOHOLIC SEX PREDATOR GAZZA, FALLEN FOOTBALLER RAPIST... I think he was just trying to reassure the lady in his own very crass way, by being a bit of a cheeky monkey. That is a very positive spin on his actions. Another view is that he is a washed up has been and was acting as a drunken nuisance and a complete dickhead.

Whatever view you take of the incident the one thing that seems clear to me is that the matter should never have ended up in a courtroom

Sadly it seems that mental issues are a feature of PG's life now. Considered the most naturally talented footballer of his generation. A top class attacking midfielder, with a great ability to dribble and score goals. Played about 75 times for his country - at different levels. Absolutely. A storming player. At his very best he reminded me of Diego Maradona, no exaggeration. Same kind of fearless forward-charging football.

A top class player without doubt. I think my love for him and football grew when New Orders 'World In Motion' track came out. I believe the country united like I'd never seen before.
