It makes you wonder if all these celebs (whom knew something) stood together then maybe something would of been done earlier. 🤔

There used to be an old recording on YouTube of a comedian Jerry Sadowitz making a joke at Jimmy Savile's expense, referring to him as a "child bender", to great laughter from the audience. Perhaps the idea that he was a child abuser started as a joke, funny because it was so outrageous and incongruous with his charity-raising activities, that somehow became "fact" after he died and could no longer be libelled.

Actually there is a video on YouTube that doesn't provide a recording of the stand-up routine, but a script of it, preceded by some interesting context: "25 years ago this is what Jerry Sadowitz the controversial Scottish stand up comedian had to say about Savile. That show was called Total Abuse. And it was. Unrepeatable jokes about Princess Diana, Terry Waite, Norman Tebbit, Nelson Mandela."
