I've said it so often (even sung it in song); people who do plea deals or admit guilt are almost always NOT guilty but have been advised to plead by lawyers who know the chances of proving ones innocence are tiny. Those who can afford it, pay up. Those who can't get lesser sentences (often not, incidentally; never trust a judge). I often harbour a secret hope that those who condemn the innocent for plea bargaining get falsely accused themselves and get to see how hard it is to prove you didn't do something 50 years ago. In fact, as that is virtually impossible to do (and legally should not be the case) the best way is to investigate the False Accusers and find out how much lying and indeed criminal activity there is in their past. Sometimes they are genuinely deluded or mistaken. But nearly always there are massive skeletons dangling in their closets.

Frequently it is easy to prove they deliberately try to falsify dates, manufacture fake evidence, get friends to lie (they OFTEN bugger it up; unused to professional lying). A decent investigator can get lethal evidence against liars from parents, old girl or boy friends, colleagues etc. Suddenly that attempted rape at an office party turns out to be claimed by someone who has lied before, smokes weed, is an alcoholic, short of cash to pay for that conservatory or house extension, steals money from employers etc.

In 2018 - the liar who claimed in an interview 30 years earlier he had been lead vocalist in his friend JK's group The Weathermen. Who nearly had a stroke when we approached his mother who had proof he was a liar. The man who had raped his 10 year old sister when he was 20 numerous times (how on earth he thought we'd not find that, God only knows). And admitted in court to have been "making £2000 a week" (today's money) "working at a top hotel at 14". The man who claimed to have lost his virginity at 14 (total lies; we had solid evidence). Who claimed to have met me when he was 13 (disproved by a friend's Mother trying to help him bend the dates). Whose history of alcohol abuse and drug use involved criminal activity. Whose own Mother had lethal evidence against him. The liar whose medical history, eventually exposed, showed he'd been in 23 different mental institutions in the last century.

Many False Accusers are cunning but stupid. As are police who assist them (even in Carl Beech's case yet they have still, at this time, avoided prosecution).

My advice is - NEVER plea bargain. Fight them and you can win.
