These seem to be a good idea - and are becoming a regular feature. One would wonder if they should be mandatory.

Harry, Meghan and Andrew - having felt enormous pressures - have absconded, and no longer perform royal duties.

And the country has survived - even electing a government which promptly took the initial steps to leave the EU.

Perhaps we should have a core band (of 6 maybe) - who would carry out the important duties for a specific and limited period.


Leaving the others to chill - in their mansions, estates, grace and favour apartments etc.

Which the taxpayer has provided for them - without even being asked.


For example, Balmoral and Sandringham - almost exclusively used by royals - were paid for, from the public purse.

As well as many other properties - the Land Registry (now open to the public) confirms - which although bought by taxpayers, are vested in the names of royal family members.


Sabbaticals would allow these people to recharge their batteries, and socialise more widely in Manhattan and Palm Springs - for example.

And to give the aliens they marry more time to visit their Moms...
