TOPIC: Mrs Diya's letter
#194612
Mrs Diya's letter 4 Years, 3 Months ago
After that dreadful tragedy with her husband and two children drowned, an incredible calm and factual letter with no blame or condemnation; just facts correcting the media coverage and official statements. Please read it. Incredibly impressive.

An example of the flawed media reports corrected by Mrs Diya without any recrimination. Journalists should learn from this.

And part of her letter; this illustrates the problems of media enhancing "a good story" with facts that are simply untrue.

something was obviously terribly wrong with the filtering system and must have created a "current" like you find in a surf very close to the water's edge that quickly dragged all 3 under water..it only takes a very short time to drown.

By making such obvious false statements..couldn't swim etc they made the poor people look somehow foolish or incompetent.

The Mail even says "the water was very cold" for Christ sake..that's the whole idea of a pool in Summer.

The media is getting worse and worse.

Lot's of jolly "reporting" of Eton educated Boris Johnson's very expensive holiday on a private Caribbean island and not a frigging word about how he railed against the "elites" after he said he'd immediately knuckle down and "get Brexit done".

Just imagine if Jeremy Corbyn had gone off to holiday in Blackpool or somewhere (he actually helped feed the homeless for Xmas) :

"Marxist Corbyn lives it up in Blackpool while homeless sleep in street"
Critics point out it's easier to get to Northern Ireland from Blackpool- is Corbyn planning to meet with the IRA?

..which would then become "Corbyn denies meeting with IRA after using Blackpool holiday as cover"
