My old friend Simon Bates used to say "the trouble with you JK is you always see the best in everyone" to which I would answer "that's a bad thing?".

Cynicism is rife in this country - I haven't believed for a long time that every single person who is found "Guilty" of an offence in a court is actually "Guilty" of anything.
