TOPIC: Hollywood and Royalty
#195959

Hollywood and Royalty 4 Years, 2 Months ago
Grace Kelly and the Monte Carlo regime seems to have worked

Different cultures became irrelevant

Harry though has clearly been used

By an indifferent actress

Meg was never near Broadway, or anything significant

Her ambition has no bounds

E8 - and Ms Simpson have similarities

Though Edward was our King

But if it was about ambition, she would be better off as a duchess, surely?

Precisely.

First - a TV actress.

Now and Later - royalty, only Canadian resident related to the Queen of Canada (apart from Harry and Archie), businesswoman, event headliner (JP Morgan et al), film star, chatshow host/guest, movie producer, celebrity, charity patron, Oprah/Clooney mate, Hollywood set member, fashion icon, supermodel, Superbowl Queen, TV show/documentary maker, touring lecturer/speech maker/motivator, brand/perfume endorser, top table fixture, news leader etc...

I seem to have somehow missed her being a superbowl queen or superbowl anything.

Anyway, she could be all that without it being a cold hearted attempt to better herself. Maybe she loves him and the rest is a bonus?

Honey, those are just a few of the new opportunities her newly acquired (royal) status has given her - being suggested in the North American media. Yanks like the actor/royal phenomenon.

Grace Kelly became a virtual goddess there - and there was a similar and intense public interest the lives of Eva Peron, Grace Kelly, Wallis Simpson and a few more.

There are thousands of TV actresses (earning $50k an episode, as MM was) - but none have the royal connections that she has engineered. Generating a totally unique and highly marketable commodity.

Lucrative offers are coming in rapidly from US banks and businesses - who have always relished linkups with the great and the famous. Even Tony Blair did extremely well there on the lecture/TV circuit.

Royals on chat shows are nothing new then. If it makes them happy, good for them!

Even if they use (unauthorised) our monarchy as a cash cow?

Good luck to them I say. Why moan about something that does nobody any harm, will probably do us all a huge amount of good and are simply trying to have a happy life? Moaning Minnies are beyond me.

Perhaps those moaners are UK taxpayers who aren't keen to continue paying £7.6 million in annual security costs, for retired and absentee members of the royal family.

And for having to fund the £3 million refurbishment of the now abandoned Frogmore Cottage. Happy life, by all means - but, at our expense?

Grace Kelly was absolutely gorgeous although apparently, like to sip sip now and then or very often.

Slightly different though as her husband had his own country. Must make life so much easier,

## You must watch the film with Nicole Kidman playing Grace Kelly where she sees of the entire French Army and saves Monaco singlehandedly.

I can see what will happen..Meghan & Archie will go and live with Dora in that up-market Black community in LA and Harry will go fishing every day.

## Some dreadful calamity like the Coronavirus will wipe out the entire Royal Family and Archie will ascend to The Throne (being saved by being in LA while Harry abdicates) at quite a young age..the genes will kick in as Archie's skin grows darker by the day, his hair expands in to a luxurious Afro and the current PM Pritti Patel will demand King Archie prove he has the correct number of points under the new "Australian Style" Immigration laws while threatening to deport him to Jamaica or somewhere.

*** Meghan will be happy she accepted the job as Governor General of Australia from the PM Dame Edna Everage.

This are my predictions. But I have others.

I thought they were paying back the Frogmore money?

Not so far; the duo regard Frogmore as their UK residence.

Others gaffs are currently being sought in Vancouver and California.

Hopefully, we won't be financing those too - will the security detail need their own plane, I wonder.

Anyway Meghan is rumoured to be presenting next year's Oscar Ceremony.

With Harry throwing the ball (or puck, maybe) at the Superbowl!

Meg's point about the Queen's ruling on the 'royal' tag is telling.

It's not legally binding, she says.

After all, H&M have spent a few hundred thousand dollars on their Sussex Royal website etc.

But will Harry defy his granny - the Queen of many places.

Including England and Canada...

It comes across as dreadfully rude, doesn't it? Almost as if someone got sloshed and couldn't stop themselves posting.
