Well, the Canadian authorities view them the same - in terms of rights to personal security.

The absence of bodyguards for H&M will severely curtail their planned commercial activities.

Did they actually expect UK and Canadian taxpayers to pay for protection at several residences?

As they strive to become financially independent - with the help of Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs etc.

They could always go to America and get protection there. Unless, considering how Meghan keeps slating him, Trump tells them to get stuffed.

The pair would do well not to burn bridges - as the market, for commercial royals, is uncertain. Will a British royal and an American TV actress (add former, to both) be in demand - as a duo?

Probably the closest comparisons are Simpson/Edward8 and Kelly/Ranier - though in different, and pre-internet eras. S&E didn't go too well.

However K&R seemed to have a good time - living in the US, France and Monaco, whilst rearing a family. That is - until Kelly's sad demise in a tragic car accident.

However - as Ranier was the head of the illustrious, ancient, aristocratic and extremely wealthy Grimaldi family - neither he or his wife had financial concerns.

Jon Bon Jovi's recent press comments made me smile. He wrote a song for the previous Invictus Games and is re recording it in UK this week with in his words, "The artist formerly known as Prince" (Harry is singing with him...)

Can't think of anything worse (Jon Bon Jovi) might be nice enough person but the music is just awful. I actually walked out a free gig.

The country side is dreadful he ain't no Trace Adkins or Tim McGraw; the rock side to him is as heavy as Bucks Fizz.
