His new series is terrific; today a woman stated "I miss my blindness". Incredible depth of thought about complex problems that require analysis not tabloid slogan simplistic solutions. Someone blind gets cured. End of headline. But the rest of the story is far more interesting. Jimmy I wish you were DG of the BBC and PM combined.
Jimmy McGovern is a genius - heard he is a very humble person also.
I always thought Peter Tilbury never got the recognition he deserved for comedy - a
Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin ruined the sitcom Shelley, anything Andy writes is awful and a very ghastly and vile bloke he is.
It called "Moving on" and its on BBC one at 2.15 until Friday. Each is a complete story so you can watch in any order.
I really look forward to these, and I wish they were advertised more because I, and many others, keep missing them.
I have been a huge fan forever; his fingerprints on everything (he didn't write many of these - just executive produced them) brings serious class and, far better, depth.

I will see if I can watch it at my partner's house. I don't own a TV or have a licence.
Jimmy McGovern's MovingOn has been absolutely incredible this week. Intelligent television but also incredibly watchable with good acting, superb scripts. Today, about a mother missing her son, was fantastic. Why on earth isn't this on PrimeTime? What is wrong with the BBC? I know the answer. LordHallHall. Thank God he's going.

Yes it makes no sense at all, does it? Anyone would think they were trying to fail.
