Vassi Chamberlain writes in today's Sunday Times magazine. Essentially what comes through is that Harvey was a wonderful friend to her who she is now condemning.

Fair enough except there seems to be no proof at all that he has been anything other than grossly offensive. An ugly man with a fascinating personality; some extraordinary talents & qualities; some rude and brutal habits.

"A double life". But it doesn't sound like a double life at all. It sounds like he frequently crossed the line of good behaviour; sometimes allowed the casting couch mentality to emerge; made mistakes; sometimes was abominable.

Am I alone in finding the willingness of those who claimed friendship to desert someone as far more offensive than someone who was unpleasant in some aspects of his personal life?

He never did anything wrong to this woman or her friends. She seems to have known him very well. Yet she prefers to believe people she did not know at all and the media.

And I bet she got paid for her article.

Money trumps loyalty almost every time.
You can stand by your friend without condoning their behaviour, for goodness sake.
