The NHS could have been one dedicated cleaner less, had the author of the following article not seen past the media stories.
Initially it was intimidating, even though we had personal protective equipment (PPE). It’s difficult to block out the stories you read in the media, and in an unfamiliar place, within touching distance of people with the virus, my heart was beating fast.
I just checked the John Hopkins University site for the latest published numbers of Coronavirus
Globally the UK is sitting at Number 3 on the infection charts behind the US and Russia.
34,078 deaths
France has 27,532
Italy has 31,610
Spain 27,459
So out of the Death Four European countries the UK has the highest
Looking at the other English speaking colonies
Canada 5,652 deaths
Australia has 98 deaths
New Zealand has 21 deaths
Victoria in Australia is now getting the most recent outbreaks at places like fast food outlets (McDonalds) and a meat works business.
The interesting thing about the Uk and Australia comparison is the numbers disparity.
Australia has a population of around 25.5 Million and the UK around 67.8 Million and most people in Australia live in
the urbanised capital cities of each State.
Other populations: Canada 37.7 Million, New Zealand 4.8 Million.
So you really get the picture just how dreadful the UK numbers are when doing that comparison.
Now onto today's other subject... JK's TV
Entertainment USA and No Limits
I went looking for the No Limits theme on Apple Music and YouTube
and I found a surprise
UK Records artist Simon Turner whom up to now I had never heard of (The UK's pop business answer to David Cassidy according to Wikipedia)
and he recorded an album for UK Records in 1972/3 which contained a few JK gems
"17", "Baby I Gotta Go" (the JK version is in the movie Me Me Me mimed by Johnny Bambino), "Love Around"
All of these are on YouTube.
Love Around has that JK signature songwriting sound with a slight reggae feel
Also while gallivanting around the Internet I found the JK version of The Rocky Horror London Soundtrack 1973
Did anyone notice how JK commented on the 1981 Parkinson interview about the influence of the Media and alluded to the dangers that came with that..
And here we are almost 40 years later and we've all seen how crooked and distorted the media has been... can anyone say "News of the World"...
Let Love Shine A Light on our wonderful NHS workers. Cancer, Alzheimer's and lots of other horrible terminal conditions are always with us, and don't spread virally; hence the lack of clapping. What we are all going through at the moment is exceptional and unique in modern times. I think you'll find that clapping for healthcare workers started in Holland if you check your facts, and spread virally (and democratically) on social media via Facebook and YouTube users; for the most part it had little to do with your much hated news media.
Why you are so resentful about this is beyond me; it's just ordinary people showing common courtesy, decency and appreciation towards vital workers in exceptional times. Perhaps you're just too cynical to believe it's anything more than a bit of moral posturing and virtue signalling ...
Holland has media. Social media is media. Doh. I resent people falling for media hype. I know about it; I've used it myself to promote projects. But that was harmless; when the results are increased deaths or miscarriages in justice, we are in deep shit.

You fed the beast so why be surprised when it turns round and bites you. I read all your wailing and complaining about "the media" but can't see the rules or regulations that you'd like in place to control them. The media is based on self balancing and freedom of expression, what would you do to change that? When you give the answer then maybe you should keep plugging the solution. Your rants about the media are pointing out a problem you believe exists but you don't make any suggestion on how it can be solved. "Hacked Off" for example is an attempt to do something but you never mention them or an other campaign that might be trying to do something.
Social media is a democratised form of media; that's an entirely different animal from the one we used to call the print media - newspapers, tabloids, magazines etc. If my friend - who happens to be on Facebook - does something I like, then I and only I make the decision whether to share it. The same goes for all of my FB friends. What that has got to do with the kind of media hype you loathe is a complete mystery. The social media ball on clapping the NHS heroes was mostly created by approving individuals long before we started seeing it on the T.V., and it certainly wasn't started by some oily hack working in a dark corner of a tabloid newspaper, trying to whip up an audience.
I really can't understand why you're so against people clapping the NHS staff to show their gratitude, respect and thanks in these unprecedented times. It's politeness writ large.
Don't keep pretending to think I'm talking about one thing (your interpretation of media) and then criticise me for commenting on the true media which is US.

You still don't offer any solutions or suggest alternatives or actively support any campaigns that might change a situation that you obviously don't like.
