Epstein and his smiling victims 3 Years, 8 Months ago
We've got Virginia Roberts Giuffre smiling alongside Prince Andrew, supposedly after she'd reacted with disgust after being told on the car ride home from Tramp nightclub by Ghislaine Maxwell that she'd have to do for Prince Andrew what she did for Epstein, the woman who seems to have been the first accuser, Maria Farmer, pictured smiling here, the caption says just after she was allegedly assaulted by Epstein, and more smiles/relaxed body language from a group of girls/young women here, apparently on Epstein's island, including from a Chantae Davies, who says "she was flown around the world to cater to Epstein’s whims on his private jet, which has been called the “Lolita Express.’’ He raped her over several years before she escaped in 2005, she said."
What doesn't seem to have been explained, e.g. by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was a "sex slave" and "forced" to sleep with Prince Andrew, how these girls/women were forced to do things they didn't want to do and why they stayed and went back for more. She told the Miami Herald (YouTube video: How teen runaway Virginia Roberts became one of Jeffrey Epstein's victims @ 1:09) that she was "trained" by Epstein and Maxwell in sexual activities and it was "basically every day and like going to school". So no gradual grooming process of breaking down barriers. If what she said actually happened, she'd have known right from the start what they expected. What was to stop her from turning her back on them and not hanging around? What was to stop her from refusing to travel to London? What was to stop any of these girls/women from deciding not to return to Epstein's town house in New York? If they were on his private island in a group and discovered they'd be expected to do things they didn't want to do, what was to stop them from talking to each other, getting together and going on strike? What was to stop them from refusing to get on the plane again in the first place and being "trafficked"?
However, here is one person who says she did not return after being raped and had told friends and family, so does seem more believable. She did not report it to the authorities, though, and apparently was not one of the accusers in the 2019 indictment against Epstein. (When she met Epstein she was reportedly attending a performing arts school (source) and has apparently worked as an actress (IMDb).)
I keep wondering if Epstein really did anything more than have young girls massage him and if that was subsequently exaggerated into more serious criminal offences with an eye to making money. Maria Farmer apparently told Eileen Guggenheim (first link above) the "creepiest thing" had happened when she was with Epstein, yet claims he and Maxwell sexually assaulted her, leaving her with bruises. Would you really describe an assault as merely "creepy"? But perhaps it's naive to imagine that an adult male who liked teenage girls to give him massages would not have wanted and perhaps insisted on more.
This was taken at Ghislaine Maxwell's home, according to the article. As Prince Andrew was a friend of hers, there is no reason why he shouldn't have been there or run into her there and she asked him for a photo.
It shows too that she was on good terms with her mother (no runaway scenario) and her access to her mother was not being controlled by Epstein and Maxwell. In which case, if she was unhappy or frightened, she could have asked her mother for help.
In my view it's possible that she was having such a good time that she wouldn't even have considered that she might have been 'trafficked' until years later when someone with an agenda suggested it to her. With the passage of time one does look back on one's youth and acknowledge that there are some cringeworthy events that seemed like a good idea at the time.

That's an interesting photo and good points, Sheba. I tend to think she's lying about Prince Andrew, not just because the smiling face doesn't seem to reflect disgust but in particular since Alan Dershowitz says she's lying about him and has lied about others. I've no idea how Prince Andrew organises his sex life, but to use Ghislaine Maxwell as a go-between, having her order Roberts to sleep with him, seems rather odd. Surely if he was dancing at Tramp with her he could have asked her himself. Or maybe she asked him?!
"UK-based Vassi Chamberlain said young women wouldn't respect formalities and hugged 'darling Andy'...Ms Chamberlain, who spoke to more than 30 of his friends for the article, claimed that many - including one of his former lovers - said he 'always chased a sh*g'."

Spot on Jo.
Nothing changes the fact they were HOOKERS hooked on the High Life.
And Epstein was NOT a pedophile. Maybe a bit sleazy and devoid of taste given the pictures of his ghastly house which my dear pal New Your snapper Patrick McMullan had been to twice for parties (and agrees) and who is currently make an absolute fortune as his pics of Epstein & Maxwell feature in 100s of newspapers daily arounfd the world.
## good show too-there's no other work in NYC !
And devoid of taste given the ghastliness of his most vocal accuser who it cannot be ignored- has now switched her attacks onto Maxwell.
## Wonder how her kids in Queensland are handling all this?
Maria Farmer is claiming to have been "traded and trafficked by the dean" (presumably of her art school) to Epstein and Maxwell. "i looked like a very young girl even though I was 25".

Haha! Your comment and hers reminds me of this part of the first chapter of Lake Wobegon Days by Garrison Keillor, where he describes some of the inhabitants of Lake Wobegon.
"... the ladies leaving the Chatterbox Cafe from their tuna sandwich lunch: three old ladies with wispy white hair, in sensible shoes and long print dresses with the waist up under the bosom, and the fourth in a deep purple pant suit and purple pumps, wearing a jet-black wig. She too is seventy but looks like a thirty-four-year-old who led a very hard life. She is Carl Krebsbach's mother, Myrtle..."
