Surely the months of lockdown and removal of our civil liberties was "justified" only due to mortal threat?

But we don't know how many have died from Covid at all. No idea.

Is the lockdown not an outrage as a result?

What a supine and soporoific people we have become...

we know exactly the minimum number of people who have died from Covid unless you think the doctors of the world are lying. They write out Death Certificates. The numbers may be much higher. I don't think "could" have died is good enough Hedda to justify the hysterical reaction, removal of core civil liberties, shut down of the economy and mass immiseration that is coming...
