As mentioned in a post made earlier today I believe JK suffers from the Dunning-Kruger effect. In the past it has manifested itself in his opinion of his own song writing, singing, book writing, film making etc but recently epidemiology has been the chosen field of expertise where JK believes his knowledge is so much greater than us mere mortals (gullibles)

I know nothing about viruses BB but a lot about the media and I have something sadly lacking in many today - common sense.

Hazel Blears seemed to be acutely aware of the problem of fear and it’s devastating consequences. It was at the forefront of her thoughts when dealing with SARS in 2003. Of course, there weren’t the same intense levels of fear in 2003 that there are at the moment. The media only has to publish one scare article with blaring, alarmist headlines to raise the levels back up again. I don’t think Matt Hancock has a clue about emotions even though he thinks he does as it was he who said in his 2019 leadership challenge speech that an “emotionally-charged platform” would improve lives.
