Conservative Rapist Minister? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
Here we go again; more false allegations (I suspect inspired by Charlie Elphick's conviction; after all, if one Tory is a rapist, surely others with large bank balances are fair targets?). I'm sorry to be cynical about this but I've seen it explode over 20 years; there are now far more false allegations than real abuse even if the majority are exaggerations rather than pure invention. I think Max Hill QC at the DPP office is on the right track; yes, there should be more prosecutions and convictions but not just rapes - false accusers ought to be jammed into prisons as well. The criminals cross many boundaries these days. For every real rape victim there are a hundred Carl Beech's or Danny Days.

Just an observation JK: do you think that your arguments would gain more power if you "held your powder" until we know anything about the validity of the accuser's claims? (re MP arrest)

Actually it isn't the point whether claims are true, false, partly each. The point is - claims should only be made when incidents happened and there can be proof found that they happened and evidence collated and displayed. False accusers should not make claims and genuine victims should only do so when there is solid proof, immediately after an offence committed. Police should NOT try to assist false accusers. They should absolutely assist real victims. Lawyers should not encourage false accusers and help them to enlarge, inflate, exaggerate. They should absolutely help real victims. Media likewise. This is the scandal. the line of truth has been crossed enabling crimes to be committed.

Yes agree with all that.
I don't believe the MP has been charged with anything yet and the Police can assess the evidence. Let's hope a just, impartial process is followed for all concerned.
