At a few retail outlets today, I encountered those behind the counter - wearing masks - quite correctly.

Many weren't from this country - and with accents, masks, diction differences - comprehension was often impossible.

Put simply - it's just insane to think that masks are the antidote, even a creditable one like distancing.

Here in NYC - 25% wear them.

have to agree Barney as here in Sydney everyone is from somewhere else (one reason I like it)

But it is difficult to communicate what with accents and my soft spoken habit.

I actually wear my mask incorrectly on purpose. Certain shops are scared to ask groups of youths if they have them.

Some retailers couldn't care less if you them or not.

All the mask is doing is turning the population into tin pot dictators.

If you feel so strongly why do you wear one at all?

There was an American shopkeeper interviewed on the news the other day saying he didn't allow anyone into his shop wearing a mask [sic]. Guess what his shop sold.

I treating it has a game. I got to do something to pass the time. I can't travel abroad to see friends of family.

My business is slumping because no one is buying and a lot of premises are shut ?

Government has lost all control of the border's and country.

It could because some people take masks of the shelf or go in with some trying to claim credit back. It's one of the oldest types of fraud.

Some shops up North don't want you wearing a mask because there's increased in shoplifting.
