When a friend suggested we should start a gay club in Canada. It was a no brainer - there wasn't many back then.
We found an old closed down club that was boarded up, the 6 of us put 650 dollars each in cash in to secure rent and fees. We gutted the place out fully, started as soon as we got the keys.
Whilst we were working our regular jobs we whilst still worked on the place; sometimes sleeping on the floor.
When they had too pay fees and secure liquor licence. For furniture we scouted around restaurants, junkyards, garage sales.
It was done equally and no idea was rubbished we used every idea and suggestion to see what worked and what didn't.

He bought a few of our shares that night.
In hindsight I should of been firmer but seeing the numbers was amazing from a mere $650.
