Sad news learning of the passing of Dick Leahy, who was managing director of Bell Records from 1970-74 when David Cassidy was signed to the label along with, among many others, Showaddywaddy, who opened for David at White City, and American acts including Tony Orlando & Dawn, who opened for him at Madison Square Garden.
Thanks for letting me know Phil; Dick was a good friend - I produced The Bay City Rollers for him although I'm still owed money for that! Dick went on to be George Michael's friend and mentor.
