Scott Atlas, the radiologist (?) recruited to the admin by
Donald Trump after downplaying the pandemic on
Fox News has been pushing for
herd immunity. To achieve this without a vaccine, about 250 million Americans would contract the virus and 1.5-2 million would die.
Of course there is no guarantee that only 1-2 million might catch Covid. Viruses don't conform to how people demand they should.
Perhaps
10-20 million would died. And who says people would become immune to it?
It's all a fabulous Chinese / Russian plot.
Can you imagine if the USA decided
"herd immunity" was the way to go?. The rest of the world would
build a virtual wall around the US with US citizens banned from entering any other country.
Likewise in bound tourism would collapse.
All those homeless living in upmarket hotels in New York City could probably move in permanently.
