On BBC2 one of those few films no matter how often you see it, you can't take your eyes or ears off the screen for a single second. Certainly one of the five best movies ever made.
By chance caught this on BBC 4 yesterday evening. Second time for me. As you say wonderful and very moving film. What struck me for the time it was made was just how sharp and fast the dialogue is. I was mesmerised.
Yes it's rather frightening how much the basics contrast with today's work. I think we've forgotten those essentials as time has gone by but We Must Remember This!
