Perhaps you should look at Sweden's more sensible approach to their handling of the PanicDemic. Cases rising again; deaths minuscule; hospitals empty. No extreme measure wrecking society. No long lines for stupid testing. Just like the common cold or mild flu, the Swedes are coping fine. Many more cases than the UK. No problem. No lockdown. No panic.

When will the many experts here realise that even though this virus isn't the most powerful ever, it will run and run?

Killing and infecting more people daily on all continents and could well cause the largest economic collapse for centuries.

Please don't talk sense...no one is ready for it.

Actually it's NOT sense; Covid19 has caused no economic problem at all; governments believing media hype instead of reality is what has fucked us all. If instead of lockdown and all the massive expense, ventilators and full time doctors had been paid for in every care home, deaths would have been as few as (almost) everywhere else. Look at the Swedish figures above for today. Currently far more cases than the UK - only 15 serious cases.

It's extraordinary then that the World Economic Forum is predicting a global cost of between $8 and $16 trillion! Could be more.

The prediction isn't disputed by anyone, but such a figure world dwarf the cost of any previous disease, war or event in history.

Not extraordinary at all; I think it could be even more than that; NOT caused by Covid19 but caused by the stupid over reaction to it provoked by media over hype.

Mainstreams of communication = Media.

Totally different everywhere - like Ayr, Queens, Oslo and Vegas.

All 'media' don't think the same; it's coverage, sales, viewers.

Can't be remotely viewed as an entity (of any sort) anywhere.

Covid is the fault of chatter?

All experts on here agree it is not the most powerful virus ever. No expert on here has ever said it won't run and run. Economic outcomes result from lockdown decisions made by humans not RNA.

Why not, instead of misrepresenting posters on here, don't you make the case for lockdown or whatever the case is you may be making?

You may be right R.

But you won't demonstrate that until you move on from conflating the virus with the response to it.

If you have the capacity to do this, you then need to make a positive case yourself which demonstrates why the economic catastrophe of lockdown was justified by Covid-19.

Can you do this?
