TOPIC: Sweden today

Sweden today 3 Years, 6 Months ago
It appears whatever a government does Covid19 will spread like wildfire, killing very few. The Government clamp downs do not stop or slow spread. This is a trivial virus. Why are we destroying society?

Sweden's only city, with a population of over a million, has a death to infection rate of 10%.

Stockholm was considerably higher than the smaller cities and towns - as well as the vast rural areas.

Still a tiny amount; no fun for the dying but fewer than those dying from cancer or flu or sepsis - just another illness; nasty for the vulnerable especially those near death anyway. It makes no sense to behave as though the common cold is the black plague.

Quite agree. But population densities and proximity to others are clearly the key drivers; this seems a global trait for the virus.

Sweden backs this up, as do the recent infections in our universities. And Wyoming had just 50 deaths from 7,000 infections.

Not convinced by "key drivers". Many factors (diet; air cleanliness; who knows?) but one thing is obvious; we should NOT be trying to stop or slow the spread; we must get a vaccine and find cures or likewise treatment. And look at long tail effects & remedies. NOT lockdowns, social distancing, closing schools, killing employment.

Please note that UK and USA are full of 'lardies'.

Many people love vaping or smoking like it's their hobby.
