Oof that is pretty bad. I wish that the system had been designed to be anonymous, even if the system was redesigned to be so in the future, the damage is done and folk are unlikely to trust it.

Well ironically I only think the Govs garbled logic and panic rather than design has led to this Police state activity. Johnson is a libertarian by instinct. The problem is once the state has powers, like a child with a toy, it must play with them...

But also the sheer stupidity of putting everyone off going for a test, when their whole approach to this situation- whatever one's views on that - relies on testing is remarkable.
