I thought all 4 deserved to go through tonight but Alex's dishes looked incredible and I loved a chef daring to put hay and ants into his dishes.

Standard was amazing.

But I thought Alex going through over the second guy to go out (who's curry veloute looked lush) was a triumph of pretension over gastronomy. Hay and ants are OK on a country ramble, but should be kept away from plates of food....
