Doesn't 60 seem very young to die? And was there a weight problem there? Are we starting to learn, as a species, that fat can go to the heart too if it goes everywhere else?

I remember when supermarkets had bargain bins full of obscurity and decent(ish) albums; now it's either chart or rehash of compilation's of 70's or 80's hits or 3 CD sets of Judy Garland and early Johnny Cash which have repackaged time and time again.

Even now record shops don' let you listen to the records or CD's and HMV no longer do the scan and listen.

His weight and his addiction to cocaine didn't help.

You having a moment GM - how is this linked to Maradona!?

I think C19 has clearly shown us that we need to stop eating so much and so much rubbish - if there was no obesity in the UK, I bet the death toll would be MUCH lower.

They could lower the death rate even more if they banned smoking, drugs, refined flour, sugar, heavily processed food, poverty, pollution, alcohol and cars.

Perhaps they can consider banning aging that would seriously sort things out...

Anyone noticed that you have to search for the daily deaths now?

Undoubtedly, a flawed genius - like so many.

But a member of the Greatest Player Ever Club.

With Messi (also of Argentinia) and Pele (Brazil).

As well as the Europeans - Cruyff (Holland) and Ronaldo (Portugal).

Yes, a few more are joining the small club.

It's difficult though to argue against Pele as being the best - and only winner of three World Cups.

Missing out only here, in 1966. When (before the red/yellow card era), he was brutally fouled - more like physically assaulted, on numerous occasions - by Bulgarian and Portuguese defenders.

Pele was magnificent in the air, and had two feet!

Scoring 541 goals in 560 top class appearances - and 1,279 in 1,363 games overall.

Nobody has come close to his trophy cabinet or goal tally.

De Bruyne - probably the best player, still playing.

Zidane - the best player/manager ever?

Won everything almost - La Liga, Champions League, World Cup etc,
