Trump leaves - classy and different 3 Years, 3 Months ago
His pardons are excellent. He's quite right to refuse to attend inauguration. Why go along with the traditional conventions? It's like John McEnroe. Everyone despised him for shouting at the umpires. I admired him for not being ashamed to show he cared.

I'm still not a fan of Trump's policies. I don't like his behaviour or attitude. But I think he's been terrific in daring to take on the media and win - for four years. Very few have succeeded as he has.

I'm essentially a Liberal Democrat whilst thinking democracy no longer works. I can see huge pluses in Communism and in Capitalism. I think a Benign Autocracy governs best. Like everything else; extremes at both ends are wrong. Somewhere in the middle works best.

But well done Trump, beating the Establishment at their own game.

I suspect history will decide he was one of the best US Presidents.

Both Mr and Mrs Trump; far classier farewells than any previous White House residents.

I thought his pardons would be far more dramatic. Quite uncontroversial..seems Obama pardoned heaps more.

I don't know why I'm annoyed but I did object to that ghastly Steve Bannon pardon but commuting sentences seems entirely reasonable.

Apparently pardons do come with risks for various reasons..States can prosecute someone under different laws for the same alleged offense. Especially if there's an ambitious state prosecutor out there.

Shame Julian Assange wasn't pardoned but perhaps Biden may do it. he's surely been tortured enough for perceived "crimes".

Naughty video doing the rounds of an Army band playing Hit The Road Jack outside the WO..but I suspect it's old footage.

Did his sleb supporters see him off? Scott Baio? Kid Rock? James Woods..all exciting (not) personalities.

How does Melania walk in those stilettos? Will she write a book? Many saying no-one would be interested but there were 61 million voters so she'd get a deal..Art Of The Deal 2.. My Life with The Don

Numerous "Deplorables" claim My Pillow Man (is that his name) brilliantly used D. Trump to promote his pillows and will sell millions more..but how often do people buy pillows?.

Would a better marketing strategy be to keep everyone on-side like the 81 million Biden voters and sell them pillows as well?

I'm rambling now..trying to find positives for JK's sake

I hope The Donald sets up his own media city or social media.

I like to think that the letter Donald Trump has left for Joe Biden contains just two words.

I suppose he might be able to have a go at this on some kind of prison training course...?

I don't see how two people walking out a door and getting on a plane could possibly be seen as "classy and different".

Depends how you look at it I guess but the (classless) pair simply did what they've done 100s of times. Weird observation.

Can't see Trump starting any sort of media outfit because 1. he's too old to start all over again and 2.who would fund it? He can't afford to and who is going to back a new media entity when outfits like Fox took years to build-up and turn a profit when the one "star " could be dead within 10 years or feeble minded?. Rupert Murdoch was in his miid-50s when he started Fox News - an age where he was still raring to go.

I reckon much of Trump's energies came from the constant rallies where he could talk to a rapt audience for 2 hours about how sensational he was but now..no Airforce One to fly in, he'd have to hire stadiums etc out of his own pocket etc etc. Why would you bother?

I think his Patriot Party is a fantasy..it tales multi $Millions to set up a political party in the USA..who would pay for it?

Might start a Parler type website but why would he bother?

The problem is Trump has little to say. So easy answering questions with blatant lies and then reversing the lie the next day ("tremendous new healthcare system")and with the aura of power gone, he has little to contribute except the same old stuff repeated ad infinitum : MAGA !!!

He won't be able to really comment on Biden's policies because he has no advisers left to write the script for him..they all said (and will be revealing soon) he had little ability to concentrate on current events and little understanding of them.

I still say his hardcore fans will eventually turn on him. Everyone will recall there is an age old saying that sums it up : Beware of A Deplorable Scorned !

I mean he's been telling his cult like fans he will be inaugurated again and he's basically dumped them and squibbed out at the last moment.
I guess some though will think there is still a Master Plan in play.

## On the loonier Qanon websites they were claiming Biden's inauguration was allowed to happen so all the Deep State Snowflakes would gathered in one place at which time the National Guard would block all exits and arrest the whole lot en masse.

### Last week they reckoned The Pope and Hilary were already under arrest and the secret tunnels the Satanist Pedophiles used to transport child slaves were being sealed up.

Inventive, but how do these people negotiate daily life with this level of loony fantasy?

I understand his finances are being looked at..But I don't actually believe any of it will stick...
If he is sensible he will just play golf now and shut up.

Always though he'd never end up in court but since the Jan 6th riots I think that's changed dramatically.

Well worth reading the original lengthy New York Times investigation into Trump's tax affairs.

He's skated on thin ice for a very long time with some serious accusations like inflating the worth of properties for borrowing purposes and then deflating them for tax reasons.
At a time when he wasn't really on the radar.

It's always the taxman who gets them in the end.

Mind you he doesn't look concerned but reports from some journalist say aides says he's been shitting himself over the past month.
Can we believe them though?

Yes I have read quite a detailed account today and now think again he may well end up facing some serious stuff. Also that people like me (who attributed his response to losing the election to his psychology) are wrong and that he reacted like he did because he is shitting himself about the charges he and some of his family face post presidency. We shall see...
