The Growing Covid 3 Years, 3 Months ago
Over 4,000 now on ventilators

From almost 40,000 in hospitals

Good luck to all of them tonight

And to those who watch over

Barney, you really need to step back from all the covid stuff because its doing you no good at all.

It is sweet that you are so concerned about those who are unwell, and those of us who have lost someone close, but you will be no good to anybody if you let it damage your mental health.

Barney - could you please stop posting in these forums under whatever names you choose? It makes absolute sense you believe everything the media says just as you are well aware we disagree with the media exaggeration. We all know there are people on ventilators. There are even hundreds a day dying - some may have died for reasons enhanced or caused by Covid19. Many of us think it's a drop in the ocean of global deaths and simply wonder why the UK has been so bad dealing with it compared to almost everywhere else. But your point of view is perfectly acceptable. I strongly suggest, however, you make it elsewhere.

I have had doubts about my opinions on C19 in recent days. So decided to challenge myself.

So many people have lost their lives (I have been informed daily for a year) I must be missing something...

This led me to look at the Office for National Statistics data for UK deaths.

In 2018 there were 541k deaths;in 2020 there were 544k.

Oh well...at least I tried.

And sadly every one of those extra 3000 had grieving relatives, friends, families, companies, shopping trips....

"Sadly..." Another track on the 2020 soundtrack you should release.

My theory is the additional 3000 deaths in 2020 sadly died of a horrible new virus known as - terminal boredom...

Its not the numbers. I couldnt give a stuff about the numbers, but the people I loved absolutely did not deserve to suffocate slowly, Alone, and looked after by nurses who don't understand even the basics of infection control.

When I hear those dickheads in government using the deaths of these people to boast about vaccines, and to frighten people into agreeing to their livelihoods being destroyed, and shaming them into feeling grateful for a national health service that is worse than useless, it makes me feel sick!!!

You are thinking of the Beatles "roadie" Mal Evans, who died recently.

Boris Johnson is working on the Great Reset.

We will be under more government and police control.

Shop workers will all soon be working for giant supermarkets, houses will be handed back and if you want them then you need to rent them at a cost. Universal basic income is on the horizon and COVID will magically disappear then a massive cyber attack will happen.

Gigs will be a thing from the past live music will have to be viewed online, gyms will be closed permanently but Peloton has you covered.

Barney goalposts will be shifted again after March then we go in to a lockdown again for Summer, then a 6th lockdown will happen late in the year.

Suicidal deaths are growing doctors are making big pharmaceutical companies rich by handing antidepressants like sweets. GPs are not psychotherapists but being treated as such.

You know I love you GM but I don't buy any of the reset stuff. Incompetence, panic, fear-mongering to divert attention from all the fucking up yes. Resets and world slavery no.

Though the longer this attempt to evade reality and prioritise one illness over everything else drags on, the harder it is to resist such stuff...

I will eat mine if they haven't by this November but we will have to agree on what "change" means?

No lockdowns, no masks and shops and pubs opens without social distancing.

I predict there will still be masks in shops but they will be open. They will be nervous next autumn winter that vaccines haven't done enough. But I don't think there will be lockdowns after this spring. I think you will start to hear ministers talking much more about the costs of lockdown going forward. They will say they were necessary when we didn't have the vaccines, which is bollocks but they have sold it so well, but too costly after.

They will get us used to a lower level of acceptable C19 deaths - as we have with flu. They will slyly privatise more health care to pay for the extra NHS staff and ICU capacity so as to avoid getting in this mess again.

And because Starmer is so pathetic Boris will get a second term despite being an utter failure. Matt Hancock will be knighted.

Then shouldn't we try and live with Covid if it's not going away ?
