Vaccination Certificate - Passport 3 Years ago
Inevitable now it seems, and a good and practical idea - with entry to public venues only for those vaccinated.

Most of those vaccinated have (I understand) a card already - with the two jab dates specified thereon.

With lower rates elsewhere - it's common sense for only those with jab evidence to be allowed into crowds.

Not everyone can get the jab !

It would be a career suicide for pub landlords if they did this.

Concerts won’t be going ahead until next year or 2023 the latest.

Nonsense from first to last.

There is nothing inevitable about passports or any legislation. Once again you just skip over the need for an argument. Practical? Well maybe, maybe not. But as you haven't established why you think passports are needed this is irrelevant anyway. Lower rates of what infection? Is infection a problem if the vulnerable are vaccinated? Why is this?

Just offer the vaccine to people who need it and get back to normal.

People can make their own bloody decisions about risks and their life. We have been infantilised for too long. I know this condition suits you and others Barney but I for one have had enough!

Why? The vaccination does not stop you spreading it, or getting it, and since when do we have to tell strangers our medical details?

What about those who cant have the jab? Should we stamp a star on their foreheads or something?

But why would pub landlords want to stop anyone coming in anyway? Surely the more the better?

The concept is swiftly growing legs abroad.

It makes no sense at all for travel.
Our own variety of the virus is a vanishing problem, but
the "danger" is from the mutations and variations, some from abroad.

But even vaccinated people have no immunity to the foreign lurgy, so how is it helpful for people to bring it home on planes?

I am not suggesting we should ban travel, but we might as well burn the vaccine certificates, because they are a fat lot of good!

Fair enough. But when dining soon (hopefully) in a Barcelona restaurant - I'd prefer if my fellow diners had been vaccinated, and were obliged to provide official confirmation thereof. Quite probably, it'll make do difference - but if I've gone to the trouble, why shouldn't they?

I was due vaccine today but changed my mind. I am going to see what happens in a few month’s. If have a Covid your chances of survival 97 to 99%. I no longer have elderly relatives either.

It’s funny how the MSM news haven’t interviewed Dr Mike Yeadon either.

I don’t get why people go abroad when there’s local businesses and holiday parks etc going bust in the U.K. ?

I can’t think of anything more boring than lounging next to a pool.

Yes. It's like those who moan about the high street closing down while ordering a heap of stuff from Amazon.

So it’s all about you ?

I didn’t have mine today, simply because I don’t trust the mainstream media nor conspiracy theories on the vaccines. Too much conflicting information; if you want the vaccine then have it !

Spot on!

My partner and I are going to do our best to support the high street pubs, shops, hotel and holiday parks. Maybe a weekend away in the West Country in the Summer.

Honey you can't support high street shops if they are closed! Amazon is the only option but yes we all should try and support local shops when we get back to normal. There is an independent book shop online trying fruitlessly to compete with Amazon on home deliveries I have used a couple of times...I fear though that online is all too convenient and the atomization of society will continue with pubs and high street spaces becoming novelties in time...

I'm not going to be able to have a jab either due to anaphylactic shock from previous ones.

Where do I stand, medically with a covid passport?

There’s an amazing comic book store In Dorset, that’s been open during lockdown for order and collection only. Comics are not for me but my daughters love all that Marvel crap etc, so I been supporting the store throughout lockdown. To send stuff to them over in USA. The guys who own the shop are extremely knowledgeable and helped me with recommendations and advice. Something that can’t be done with online shopping.

I can’t order clothes online because where I am short in leg I have to compare jeans or trousers to my current lot. And XL T shirts are more like a Large or medium on online retailers. Taking things are pain up the arse, print labels find post office or Parcelshop then wait for a week for a refund.

I can’t wait to to go to the independent record shops again soon, the ones in Weymouth, Eastbourne and Bournemouth are worth the drive.

I’m a running out of books again so I am looking forward to the second hand shops to open up. Maybe Wyot might be able to find Marquis de Sade novels in a charity shop to read in the pub.

I just wait and see.

Boris did mention not everyone can take the vaccine due to health reasons.

Must be concerning Steve. It looks like we are stuck with these passports. You will I'm sure get a vaccine exemption confirmation, but it seems to me that people in your position will need legal protection so that an airline or a hotel can't discriminate against you.

Wouldn’t It come under Equality Act ?

These passports are only going to divide up the public even more.

Despite people wearing the Hidden Disability lanyard people still moan and have a go at the poor souls. I’m sure Barney gets a major hard on when he witnesses this.

I have his major work, bought as a young man hoping for a *cough* good read. It completely turned my stomach sexually and was completely otherwise without literary merit.

Highly unlikely to be available as the services will be offered to those vaccinated only - and no court or jurisdiction anywhere would rule against such a logical and beneficial stance, which is in the interests of us all.
