I know nothing about medical matters. But "experts" tell me rare blood clots are often a problem caused by Covid. The Oxford AZ vaccine uses a small amount of the virus. It has suspected blood clot problems. Pfizer has none and does NOT use Covid aspects. Is this not a clue? I know nothing but I do have common sense and lateral thinking.
Vaccine side effects in a tiny (negligible) percentage is not unusual. No vaccines are completely risk free. But if people worry about the blood clot risk on that calculation they had better never leave their house as they are more likely to be killed by a falling tree...
Even I would say the risks from Covid far outweigh risks from AZ...How many more would have died "with" Covid & from Lockdown collateral damage but for our hugely impressive AZ roll-out? No brainer.
So will I WYOT; so I have (though Pfizer). But that's not my question. My question was - surely the possible link between Covid and blood clots, however rare, may explain why the AZ jab is suspect and not the others.

Yes I suppose it probably does as scientists are now tentatively indicating they think there is a link. I just wouldn't agree - on the numbers of deaths we are talking about - that AZ is in any way "suspect" (not that I think you are saying this but the media is). Non story for me.
Anyone would think they were looking for reasons to make the whole thing happen again and lock us up, with twenty thousand people a day flying in with variants, and a fuss about something less deadly than aspirin, the pill, and covid itself.
Cant we just vaccinate everybody and never speak of it again?
There is no need for all the fuss.

Great story more like! Which the Gov have now caved into with the tortuous logic that AZ won't be given to the under 30s because they aren't going to die "with" Covid so why risk the 0.0000001 whatever it is chance of a blood clot?
Well why give them a Covid vaccine at all then? Since when did we start vaccinating people who don't need to be?
I think capitalism as a general system has proved to be the most stable and brought prosperity to the largest number; but yes no system is without casuslties. I make a huge distinction between a capitalist system and the current, hugely unhealthy corporate monopolies that run the world.

Quite it is people that introduce corruption; but I do think that systems such as capitalism and liberal democracy (yes when balanced and healthy) are preferable to say communism as they don't try and force an ideal world or pretend that people can be wholly "good" or "perfect". Every time in history this has been attempted, disaster has followed.
