Covid deaths for saturday 10/04 were 40, compared to 10, the previous saturday. Using the figures from the same day, the previous week is the best indicator of the trend. I think re-opening of hospitality outdoors will increase the spread further. The stupid rule of 6 will increase the spread. sitting opposite someone who is infected, talking to them for about an hour, will inevitably lead to other people catching the virus. The rules state that you still have to socially distance from the others in the rule of 6, but this is largely ignored and virtually never enforced. It is virtually impossible for 6 or even 4 people to sit next to each other at a table and be 1m+ apart. The table would have to be as big as a snooker table. I don't think non-essential retail will make any difference, they could have opened months ago, with little effect. You walk past people momentarily for a split second with a mask on, miniscule risk. I seriously doubt whether the supposed complete removal of all restrictions will occur on 21st June. The consistent 3000+ cases a day will inevitably lead to new variants appearing, which the vaccine is ineffective against. Vaccines will have to be updated and we will have to all be re-vaccinated, leading to months and months of further lockdown.
