I have both because mobile signal is crap when I am home, I need landline for emergencies like calling my partner or ringing up record stores. I have a very basic mobile phone which I use very rarely but At least I don’t have to scan QR codes. Many Americans have landlines due to their locations and power outages are extremely common.

Don’t forget it’s fun to slam landline phones on the cradle after a heated exchange.

That made me laugh...

I got rid of my LL a couple of years ago and haven’t regretted it..

Luckily I have good mobile coverage and I’m on 100 GB of data a month which is plenty and I tether to my iPad and MacBook Pro and it all works fine..

If I was in the country or outback then I’d probably be whistling a different tune..
