Yet more evidence of how humanity has gone completely bonkers. The scandal now is "How did this happen so fast?" when it was obvious it was going to happen fast (I thought it would be even faster) when one side wants to win and the other doesn't. How to deal with it is now secondary (why? It's the only thing that matters).

The interesting commonality between all your examples is that the real stories have been changed to ones with clearly identifiable "victims". It is as if life has to constantly be portayed and interpreted as a drama; with ourselves at the centre of it on one side or the other.
