Bob Dylan and the False Allegations Industry 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Regulars will remember me predicting this avalanche of false accusers twenty years ago, when it happened to me. When a great way of making money arrives, hundreds decide to grab the cash; some intentionally lying; some exaggerating; some genuinely deluded or mad.

From music royalty to real royalty, normally the successful or wealthy, preferably the famous and ideally the dead.

Soon we shall start seeing prosecutions like Carl Beech and Jemma Beale hitting the headlines, to the chagrin of media which loves a great story.

These accusers can’t prove anything, it’s their word against the accused, yet the mere accusation damages the accused party.

If they have no material evidence for the accusation, the complaint shouldn’t even be taken by the police or courts. And if it does and it’s found to be false or baseless, they should be prosecuted for wasting police/court time.

If they were so damaged by the alleged incident, why wait 30 years or more to complain about it?

There's documented evidence that he was on tour in England April/May 1965

Accuser is 68 years old, so has had 50 years of adulthood to bring this. Screams of mendacious opportunism but I'm sure there will be people slavering over it and waving their pitchfork as they did with Jimmy Savile, e.g. "Never listened to his music. Always thought he looked/sounded creepy". Wouldn't be surprised if they work a bit of anti-Semitism in too.

Lady Colin Campbell says in her recent video about the claims against Prince Andrew that based on what she understands from legal experts it's possible to file a lawsuit in the US that has no merit at all.

you talk sense as does Lady Colin Campbell.

But I'm sick of having to correct people I know who so ignorantly do not actually read the full story.

It's a civil case.

The very notion an Ambulance Chasing US lawyer could serve anyone in the UK let alone Andrew is ludicrous (I have 2 top private eye pals who serve summons- so difficult as it costs a small fortune if the defendant is unreachable & there is always a cut-off point when costs run up even though you claim you can serve a summons the very next day. In fact my good PI pal says he makes more money from failed summons servings than successful as he's still paid).

I've read such ignorant postings by hacks who say the UK taxpayer would pay Andrew's costs (this is like saying if a cop gets a parking ticket and pays it- it's actually the UK taxpayer paying as they pay his wages)

Quite apart from the fact attempting to sue anyone in a US court is quite easy- seems most of Britain's hacks (and hackettes) are ignorant to the fact US civil claims are not enforceable in the UK and Lo & behold- Britain has had it's own courts if you wish to sue for quite a few 100 years.

Repeat for the Daily Mail / Express etc: O.J.Simpson was ordered to pay $60Million in the civil case won by the Goldman family in a civil murder case 21 Years ago.

They never received a penny.
