Is anyone surprised? Brexit was stupid. The panic around media exaggeration about Covid was stupid. We knew. We predicted. We warned.

I mean who on earth would want to be a van or lorry driver coming into or out of the UK? The stupid Brexit rules; the queues. Just cover the EU - it's easier. Who on earth would want to fly into or out of the UK? Huge queues and grumpy (understandably) immigration officers. Why on earth would anybody want to live or work in the UK? Dreadful weather and the public don't like foreigners. Simples. DOH!

The childish fantasy that you can act without consequences is being exposed. That shutting down the world to save a handful of lives is "good" without debate or consequence. That you can go it alone from our brothers in Europe and somehow become "greater" and get rid of foreigners (well a few lorry drivers and supermarket workers yes well done...), will have no outcome. The stupidity and limitations of our self-deception and destruction is beyond measure.
