So went to the park to feed the birds. Where I spent most of First Lockdown (Spring 2020) and fell in love with baby starlings. None of those there today and the swans were quite aggressive; some standing on my feet pecking my clothes unless I gave them bread before the geese or pigeons! Once again tempted to slap them except, again, I felt Smacking the Queen's Swan might be a crime (and certainly a euphemism).

The baby starlings (I didn't know what they were until I put a photo up on here) used to line up on my bare arm (T shirt) - ten of them. Front one hopped onto my palm, took a crumb, flew off. They all moved down a space. When they got too big (this year) they sat on the back of the bench and moved forwards. I loved the feel of their little claws on my skin (close contact with other living things was banned in 2020).
