This Canadian economics professor looked at 80 papers on the costs/benefits of lockdowns (worldwide) and concluded lockdowns may be the biggest peace time policy failure in history: causing far more harm & death than the virus was ever likely to.

States, additionally, totally underestimated the voluntary common sense precautions people would take anyway. Making any potential lockdown gains (when compared with the harm caused) even more minimal.

It has been obvious from the start for some of us; but great that the meatier validation is now emerging.

True but I wonder if the media will turn: the truth about how Govs around the world got it so wrong (following the media of course but the media won't care...) is one hell of a story.

I've been hoping for years WYOT. I hoped Carl Beech would see a sea change. I thought Jemma Beale would open eyes. But most Editors simply do not see these GREAT STORIES (with the honourable exception of the Mail).

The government have always failed to mention that people killed themselves during the lockdowns.

The peasants at Bondi Beach are not taking common sense precautions and now the bastards are out in force a'drinking and a'partying like there's no tomorrow just because the sun is out.

I dread the end of lockdown. 1000s of proles on the beach which means no bloody parking spots for blocks and blocks.
