TOPIC: Frozen Christmas?

Frozen Christmas? 2 Years, 6 Months ago
The Mail suggests cooking your Xmas meal now and freezing it ready for Xmas. I can't think of anything more awful other than having my testicles snipped off slowly.

If there are no turkeys I will cook a curry; what a fuss! I hope, though, that every turkey who thought lockdowns and Brexit were smart ideas is clucking mad if they can't get a bird on the day...For plucks sake GB obsess on important issues!

I have no idea how people can enjoy turkey meat?

Christmas day dinner is just a roast eaten a few hours earlier.

Goat curry is nice Wyot.

Yes it is tasty GM; I had it once in St Lucia. Though not sure where one would find goat meat in Waitrose...

Ask a local butcher or look at farm shops.

All you need to do is cook the turkey upside down and it is fine. I cant understand why anyone would stick the dry bit in the air and complain.

Also, break the legs and splay them out so it all cooks at the same time.

If you are the type who likes to have a perfect looking turkey you can zhuzh it up with string and skewers at the end. If you must.

They do sometimes stock it, Wyot. I suppose it must be seasonal?

Waitrose is also the only supermarket to stock frozen chestnuts.

I cant understand why we cant buy frozen chunks of lobster meat? I don't care how much it costs, I am just sick of wrestling the damn things.
