TOPIC: A culinary riddle

A culinary riddle 2 Years, 4 Months ago  
My favourite liqueur is Amaretto. I hate marzipan. But watching Masterchef tonight it dawned on me they have similar taste. Confused. Someone please explain.

Ah Google is my friend. Amaretto di Saronna is NOT almonds; it's similar but made from the stones/kernels of apricots.

One is bitter and one is sweet so you are tasting them on different parts of the tongue and they hit different parts of the brain.

That's the cheap stuff. A good one will contain almond.
Most have both in.

My Desert Island Discs liquer would also be Amaretto.

Actually a lovely cocktail is cold milk and Amaretto di Saronna with ice.
