To Whom It May Concern 2 Years, 4 Months ago
A letter drafted by Thomas Renz for US citizens to send to their elected representatives:

European and UK citizens should send a similar letter to their elected MPs/MEPs/representatives. I will be sending one to my MEP.

I was reading some old newspapers from 1919..old Sydney newspapers concerning the Spanish Flu epidemic at that time which infected possibly 500 million people and killed (estimated) between 17 to 50 million worldwide.

In Australia it killed approx 40,000.

What interested me was the various government edicts in Australia (copied from the USA) which mandated MASKS, SOCIAL DISTANCING and the closure of all public entertainment, the Opera, pubs , restaurants etc.

Not sure how long that lasted but basically the entire (local) population complied.

It took 2 years to eradicate the Spanish Flu (or it died a natural death) and...everything gradually returned back to normal.

No freedoms were curtained.

# Of course Bill Gates wasn't alive then. Or was he ?

Hi Hedda

Here is a very recent account, by Hans Tolzin, of the 1917-1919 Spanish Flu outbreak. There is simultaneous translation into English as he speaks.

Interesting to note that the Rockefeller institute did a massive vaccine experiment in Fort Riley Kansas to precipitate the outbreak by inoculating soldiers with experimental vaccines in 1918. The parallels to what we are currently experiencing one hundred years on, are horribly fascinating.
